Most of the opening scene in Jaws where Chrissie Watkins is killed by the shark was shot using the 'day for night' technique, adding filters later to darken the image. Here is a lighter version of the scene, closer to how it was originally shot.
Oh, and by the way, the actress was not harmed, she did not break her hip or her rib due to a faulty harness, she's just acting pain and panic. Try not to peddle the urban myth in the comments section..
