Remember Zelda? And no, I'm not talking about the popular games. I'm talking about the scary as hell character from the adaptation of Stephen King's 1983 novel Pet Sematary. The film tells the story of a family moving into a house next to a mysterious pet cemetery. Mary Lambert, who interestingly enough went on directing movies such as Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, directed this 1989 creepy adaptation featuring Dale Midkiff, Fred Gwynne and Miko Hughes. And Andrew Hubatsek as Zelda. Brrr...

In the Scariest Horror Films Top 10, The Springwood Slasher shows some of the scariest films ever made. Note: Like the other lists, this is all just opinion-based.

f***ing Zelda. I'm glad I wasn't the only kid traumatized by that character in the film.
best character seriously
Rafael-Olivier Somma
I'm 35 and to this day, Zelda still scares the crap out of me like when I was 12 years old.
Face Off
I wouldn't be surprised if the actor playing her took inspiration from the silent movie Nosferatu.
+Rafael-Olivier Somma Same.
Steph Hayward
Love horror movies and it takes alot to scare me but let me tell you lol Zelda did it and still does
+Steph Hayward SAME HERE! I saw this as a child and it ruined me LOL! I cannot watch this without freaking out!
Anyone that's scared of zelda .. just remember that zelda is actually a dude in a rubber suit. That did it for me ;D I luv this movie though, it gave me a good scare when I was a kid.
Yeah Zelda scares me BUT A RUBBER SUIT REALLY
You couldn't pay me to get over my fear of this woman. Jesus Christ. Its 4 in the afternoon and I am still terrified to watch a scene with her from beginning to end. #petsemetery #zelda #horror #fear

This should be the official trailer of the movie.
Mily Martell
Fuck you just made this movie even creepier with this editing.
Rollin'J' Orlando
thats what i was just about to say, this is even more intense in this edit
The book was infinitely better than the movie... But Zelda did scare the bejezus out of me when I first saw her (I was like 10 or so). But actually the part of the movie I didn't like was seeing Church get killed... both times.
Morgan Taylor
Since the age of four I have been absolutely terrified of ever even looking at Zelda.
+Momo She's coming for you Momo as I speak...She's going to twist your back so you'll never get out of bed again!

Zelda without a doubt stole the movie; this guy deserves an award for this performance, cause yeah, he had the make-up, the clothing and staff, but recreated that voice, that expression on ''her'' face, those moves, those minimal details of horror characterization that an actor should have, and I don't think any of us would be able to achieve it. For this reason this lady is considered one of the most terrifying characters of all time. Great job, Andrew, you nailed it...
Face Off
What frightened me the most was the way her body suddenly jerked up when she turned to look at Rachel. It was almost insect-like.
