HYBRID ELECTRIC PAV COULD SUPERSEDE HELICOPTERS IN THE FUTURE, WHEN (WE BOTHER TO DEVELOP IT). A MANNED EXPERIMENTAL ELECTRIC MULTICOPTER ALREADY EXISTS (SEE YOU TUBE VIDEO CALLED "FIRST MANNED FLIGHT OF AN ELECTRIC MULTICOPTER"). IT DEPENDS ON WEIGHT AND COST, BUT IF 40 HP OF ELECTRIC POWER CAN GET ONE PERSON (+ MACHINE) OFF THE GROUND, SURELY 1000 HP WILL GET 4 PEOPLE (PLUS MACHINE) OFF THE GROUND? THE CAMBRIAN IS AHEAD OF IT'S TIME, MAINLY BECAUSE OF COST AND WEIGHT. BUT SOME OF THESE TYPES OF MACHINES MAY SOON EMERGE REGARDLESS OF COST (BUT ONLY FOR THE SUPER WEALTHY).

SAFETY IS ALWAYS PARAMOUNT AND THE CAMBRIAN IS IN IT:
6 LIFT ROTORS MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO COMPENSATE IF ONE ROTOR FAILS. (AND THERE ARE 2X 100 HP ELECTRIC MOTORS ON EACH ROTOR, WHICH MAKES IT EVEN SAFER!) BUT IF BEARING FAILS, THE ROTOR FAILS AND OTHER 5 ROTORS WILL STILL COMPENSATE.
TWO GAS TURBINE ENGINES WITH A GENERATOR ON EACH, MAKES A HOVER POSSIBLE WITH ONE ENGINE, AND 1 MINUTE EMERGENCY BATTERY POWER.
IF BOTH ENGINES FAIL, WE HAVE EMERGENCY BACK-UP POWER FOR I MINUTE HOVER.
IF THIS FAILS WE HAVE COMBINATION A OF GLIDE WITH AUTO-ROTATE. IF FIXED PITCH ROTORS, WE HAVE EMERGENCY (BACKWARD SPIN-UP) FOR AUTO-ROTATE.
BALLISTIC PARACHUTE POSSIBLE.
IF ROTORS ARE VARIABLE PITCH, WE COULD HAVE FIVE BLADE ROTORS AND AT NEUTRAL PITCH COULD ACT LIKE WINGS WHEN STOPPED. ALSO FIVE BLADES WOULD BE GOOD FOR AUTO ROTATE. BUT ALTERNATIVELY, WE COULD HAVE FIXED-PITCH 5-BLADE ROTORS IF IT DOESN'T MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE IN MAXIMUM SPEED (WHEN ROTORS ARE STOPPED).
ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRIC LIFT ROTORS MAKES MULTICOPTERS MUCH MORE FEASIBLE WITH HYBRID ELECTRIC THAN THE OLD MECHANICAL DRIVE, OF WHICH WOULD MAKE MULTICOPTERS FORBIDDINGLY COMPLEX. BUT WITH ELECTRIC POWER, IT'S A HUNDRED TIMES MORE SIMPLE. AND IF ONE QUITS THE REST CAN (ELECTRONICALLY) COMPENSATE. WITH THE OLD MECHANICAL DRIVE, HOWEVER, IF ONE ROTOR STICKS (THEY ALL STICK). AN INHERENT PROBLEM WITH MECHANICAL DRIVE (THAT CAN'T BE SOLVED, IN ANY WAY I KNOW).
ANOTHER ADVANTAGE OF ELECTRIC POWER IS THAT THE 2-BLADE ROTORS COULD BE POINTED "NORTH-SOUTH" FOR STOP-ROTOR STATION (WHICH IS STREAMLINED). FIVE BLADE ROTORS COULD ALSO BE POINTED IN THE MOST STREAMLINED STATION.
WHEN THE CAMBRAIN IS A PLANE IT USES ONE OR THE OTHER OF IT'S GAS-TURBINE ENGINES TO DIRECTLY DRIVE THE REAR PUSHER PROPELLERS (CONTRA-ROTATING) BECAUSE IT'S ONLY EIGHT FOOT WIDE AND POWERFUL.
WHEN IT'S A CAR IT USES THE EMERGENCY BATTERY FOR A CAR BATTERY AND TWO 50 HP ELECTRIC MOTORS (IN THE BACK WHEELS) PROPEL THE CAMBRIAN. IT HAS RE-CHARGE BRAKING AND WHEN GOING DOWN A STEEP HILL. IT CAN ALSO BE CHARGED WITH ONE IF IT'S GAS-TURBINE ENGINES, OR PLUGGED-IN. THE UNDERCARRIAGE, AS WELL AS ACTING AS WINGS, ALSO HAS A WEIGHT SAVING RUBBER BUNGY SYSTEM. RUBBER IS SO MUCH LIGHTER THAN STEEL SPRINGS. RUBBER BUNGY COULD ALSO REPLACE SHOCK-ABSORBERS AS WELL. I WILL BE DOING EXPERIMENT ON THIS AND ALSO APPLY IT TO A ROAD-ABLE PLANE DESIGN (POOR PERSON'S CAMBRIAN).
