I got this recipe out of my Elvis Presley cookbook that I got at Graceland. I made these a while ago but if I remember correctly they were good, but eat them while they are warm. I think I put my feedback on the video.

I am SUPER crazy busy with work right now, so I am sorry that I am not replying to your comments. I am trying to get some time tonight to get back to you all. But I thank you all for your birthday wishes--I had the best birthday!!! :) And thanks for your kind words of having mom cooking and baking with me. I asked her to make her pot pie for us :)

2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Sift together flour, baking
powder and salt into a large bowl. Cut in the shortening
until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in the milk. Turn
dough out on board, knead lightly a few seconds to form a
ball. Turn smooth side up and pat lightly to 1/2-inch
thickness. Cut with floured biscuit cutter and place on a
greased baking sheet. Place 1 inch apart for crusty biscuits
or barely touching for softer biscuits. Bake about 12 minutes
or until light brown. Serve hot with butter, honey, jelly or
jam at any meal or serve as a complete breakfast with
sausage gravy poured over split biscuits. Makes 12 biscuits.
