Dr David Hamilton, co-author of the Choice Point book and who also appears in the movie, has this to say about kindness...it really is very good for your health! Share this with your friends as a little reminder for the weekend. "When a person shows compassion or kindness it creates an emotional bond between two people, even if it's just short lived. We know from research that when there's a positive emotional bond between people it triggers a release of a hormone called oxytocin in the brain, and also throughout the cardiovascular system, and incredibly oxytocin actually dilates our arteries, and reduces blood pressure because of that. Oxytocin also helps to reduce the levels of inflammation and free radicals in the blood stream -- both play a significant in the geneses of cardiovascular disease."
