As a guest on today's "Jansing and Co." and MSNBC, Congressman Connie Mack (R-FL 14) discussed the reasons behind his opposition to the debt ceiling deal. The United States will have a debt ceiling of $17 trillion with the new deal, and will reach that cap in roughly 2 years, thus prompting another crisis like the one the country has just come through. The country takes in only $2 trillion. Congressman Mack believes that unless a real solution to the ongoing debt crisis involving spending cuts against zero, instead of "baseline" budgeting methods, is found, the country will face even worse crises in the future. The time has come, Mack states, to find a real solution and stop with gimmicks and charade. Source: MSNBC. Air Date: 8/1/11
