Web Wise Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering today's youth to make wise choices in the digital world. People say that "times have changed" and they're right. Science, health care, education, businesses have all benefited by all different kinds of technology. But problems in today's digital world have not changed. Predators have always been around, bullies always picked on our kids, piracy, cheating, stalking etc. etc have been around for a long time in the physical world...the difference today is that the perpetrators committing these crimes are able to us the technology to have a global reach.
Web Wise Kids offers innovative programs specifically designed to meet the Internet safety needs created by emerging technology. MISSING, CyberCops and Mirror Image, and It's Your Call were designed for middle and high school children and are based on true stories. They are high-tech computer game simulations, based on real-life criminal cases, prepare today's youth to safely and confidently explore the growing world of cyberspace. It's fun and interactive, and is easy to implement. We also have a user-friendly parent education program that educates adults on ways to keep their children safe from online dangers and increases their knowledge on current trends on the Internet.
