Attempting to remove a frozen/rusted exhaust bolt cold from a manifold typically results in the bolt or manifold being damaged or broken. This video shows the manifold being heated up cherry red before removing the bolt. Heat it up and try to turn the bolt, if it resists like it did the first time I tried, it turned a little, stop and reheat.
As you can see the second time around it came right out nice and easy. No busted manifold or bolt. High heat is the only way to remove an old rusted bolt without any damage.
