Panola Garlic Hot Sauce ( http://www.panolapepper.com ) Product of Louisiana. Fairly traditional standard base hot sauce with a nice dose of garlic. I like garlic. Actually, I LOVE garlic so figured I'd try it. So, what's it taste like, what's in it, how hot & how would I use it?
TASTE: Vinegar, Garlic & Salt were the main flavors. Tangy blend of the three with a nice hint of the pepper mash mixed in there. Pretty tasty hot sauce. Like all the other Panola products I've tried, the flavors blended nicely for a well rounded flavor that should compliment most any savory dish.
INGREDIENTS: Aged pepper mash, vinegar, garlic, salt, cellulose gum, and F.D. & C. red # 40.
HEAT: Very little heat to speak of. On the Bonehed Heat Scale, I'd put it around 3. Maybe even between 2-3 now that I think about it. If you are looking for a tangy traditional hot sauce with a great flavor but don't enjoy the burn, this is the sauce for you. Mild, but lots of flavor.....
USES: You like garlic, you like that tangy vinegar & salt combo that is the traditional hot sauce base, with a nice hint of pepper mash flavor thrown in. Splash a bit of this sauce on it. This sauce will be great on any dish you wanna give a little extra garlic & tangy addition to without adding the burn.
