Just a note on this video. This post was filmed and launched in 2017. Shade trees are still growing, the owners are still working on the park, and some road blocks have gotten in the way of fast progress. I've turned commenting off here as a lot of negative things have been posted recently . To be clear, this video isn't an advertisement for the park, it's documenting my time there working with the owners and my thoughts about what it takes to build a new RV park. It takes a lot of time and money to build one from the ground up. This note is being written in August of 2018, and the video was originally posted July 1st of 2017. Below you can read my initial description of the video...
We've spent the past week at the new Springerville RV Park, near Arizona's White Mountain National Forest. The new park is doing a "soft opening" starting now as the owners complete the RV park build out. So far over 40 sites are available with full hookups.
Additional amenities in the park aren't available yet, but will be coming. For the time being since all services aren't yet available the park owners are offering overnight stays with full hookups starting at $20 per night. Not bad if you're visiting the area to have some fun in the White Mountains and cool off at the higher elevations.
It's been an interesting week watching the park owners getting sites ready, planting shade trees (which will need to grow a bit), and answering inquiries about the park already.
