On Wednesday 5th March 2014, People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett introduced a new bill in the Dáil today that would outlaw the discrimination by landlords against those in receipt of rent allowance. The Equality (Amendment) Bill 2014 was drafted to try and address this particular aspect of the housing crisis that is driving many people into homelessness.
