A cleanse is a type of diet that helps rid your body of harmful toxins and waste in your body. Often our bodies are exposed to harmful environmental factors that we don't realize are effecting them, those being disinfectants, deodorizers, or gasses released from fresh paint. Some of these can come from the things we consume on a daily basis from foods, such as pesticides, microbes, and mercury to name a few.

Some signs that you're body may be showing that it could use a cleanse are, feeling sick, feeling tired, feeling depressed, sluggish or seeing excess weight gain.

The enzymes in our body continuously break down these harmful toxins by helping to flush them out of our body. Water is often stored in your muscles with glycogen. Glycogen serves as a source of energy and is the main storage of glucose in your body. Typically a cleanse is considered a low-calorie diet and you're body continues to use up that glycogen storage and lose the water weight with it. This comes along as one of the benefits of participating in a cleanse.

There are several benefits to cleansing your body: boosts your energy, while you're detoxifying your body will begin to get a natural energy boost by cutting out sugar, caffeine, trans. fats and saturated fats; rids excess waste from body, most toxins and waste build up in your colon, which is why it's mostly important to cleanse this part of your body; weight loss, as a part of removing waste and toxins from your body, it's important to replace the bad foods with the good foods which will help you to maintain healthy weight loss; immune system, your immune system will be able to absorb nutrients better while cleansing your body; and lastly healthy changes, sugar, caffeine, fried or crunching foods can become an addiction and being on a cleanser can help kill those addictions and cause you to want to maintain a cleaner diet.

Most cleanses tackle the colon where parasites may commonly be found and are often impacted with mucous that prevents nutrients form being absorbed. As a result of this over eating and not getting enough nutrition throughout the day, which leads to more weight gain.

Once you undergo the process of cleansing an detoxifying your body it releases hormones secretions that stimulate your immune system. It also helps to promote a healthy and disease free body as it starts to re-balance itself. Your energy levels will begin to rise in several aspects, physically and mentally.
