I decided to do the unboxing the day of just to get it over with.

I have here the ASUS Sabertooth 55i ATX motherboard and the freebie I got, the U3S6 add-on card. Both items came from Newegg for a grand total of 169.99, plus shipping. I bought this motherboads 3 reasons: Because it's a "tougher" model (better tested?), the price along with the free item, and the non-blue color that most motherboards seem to have these days.

I was going to go with either the P7P55D PRO of the EVGA P55 LE, but when this came on sale, I knew that I wanted this board. It should give me many years of stability.

I'm really excited to build this. As I have mentioned in the past, this will be only my second all time Intel build with the other one being for a friend. This is the first one for my own.

As for the missing I/O shield, I called ASUS about it and they are sending one right to me for free. (Yeah, it better be free. I was supposed to get one to begin with!)
