"The Best is Yet to Come" written in1959 by Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh, while associated with Frank Sinatra, was actually written for Tony Bennett, whose single version with Cy Coleman conducting, was released in February 1961 on Columbia Records. It was included in his LP, I Left My Heart in San Francisco, released on June 18, 1962. Sinatra did not record until his 1964 album It Might as Well Be Swing with Count Basie. The album is available on CD, and the song can also be found on the Ultimate Tony and The Essential Tony Bennett CDs all on Sony. This sound recording is administered by SME & INgrooves.
