Kyffhäuserdenkmal (Part 2 of 2)

This 15-minute German documentary was filmed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Kyffhäuserdenkmal, or Kyffhäuser Monument (1896). The monument commemorates Kaiser Wilhelm I and the founding of the Second German Reich.

Part 1 gives some background on the monument's location, which was the site of one of the castles of Kaiser Friedrich I of the Hohenstaufen dynasty, or "Barbarossa." It also describes the building of the monument. Part 2 gives an in-depth look at the sections of the monument, and the history of the Kyffhäuserdenkmal after its construction.
