Bridge Project is beginning a five-figure digital ad blitz lambasting Troy Balderson for refusing to tell Central Ohio voters if he would support Congressman Jim Jordan - who is under fire for disregarding sexual abuse of student-athletes at Ohio State while coaching there - for Speaker of the House.

This ad, "Does Troy Balderson Stand with the Victims, or with Jim Jordan?" will run on Facebook beginning Thursday and through this coming Tuesday.

Jordan is accused of turning a blind eye to the sexual abuse and harassment of student-athletes at Ohio State University during his time as the assistant wrestling coach. At least 7 former wrestlers have come forward to say that Jordan was aware of this abuse being committed by university doctor Richard Strauss and yet did nothing to help the students.

Last week, after Jordan launched his campaign for Speaker of the House, Troy Balderson's campaign was directly asked whether he would vote for Jordan if elected to Congress, but repeatedly dodged the question.

Bridge Project is making Balderson's failure to be straight with Ohio voters the centerpiece of its ad.

"Troy Balderson's politics-as-usual desperation is insulting to Central Ohio voters," said American Bridge President Bradley Beychok. "The fact that he couldn't denounce a man at the center of such terrible accusations speaks volumes about his misplaced priorities and utter disregard for the victims. Ohio deserves better."
