Country's biggest musical rodeo went down last night; and we've got your 2012 CMT Music Award performances recap! Hey Country Lovers, you're tuned in to ClevverMusic. The 2012 CMT Music Awards were held last night in Nashville Tennessee at the Nashville Bridgestone Arena and the night saw some incredible live performances from Country's biggest stars. The fan-voted award show was hosted by Kristen Bell and Toby Keith who entered the stage via red solo cup.

The performances kicked off with Hot Chelle Rae mashing their hit "Tonight Tonight" with Lady Antebellum's "We Owned the Night" who opened the award show. Later, Luke Bryan took the stage to croon his new single off 'Tailgates and Tanlines', "Drunk On You", while Zac Brown Band performed their new single "The Wind".

One of the biggest crowd pleasers from the night was a special performance collaboration with legendary Willie Nelson that included Toby Keith, Zac Brown, Jamey Johnson and Darius Rucker on the uniquely titled, "Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die."

The 2012 award show also saw some musical debuts, with Kenny Chesney premiering "Come Over" for his fans, and Toby Keith revealing his new one "Beers Ago."

For the first time ever, the CMT Music Awards held two outdoor live performances during the show, which allowed fans to pack the streets of downtown Nashville to get in on the fun. One notable outdoor performance included Hank Williams Jr. who teamed up with Brad Paisley for, "I'm Gonna Get Drunk And Play Hank Williams All Night Long" to a reported 30,000 fans. Brad was thrilled with the tribute to Hank's Dad saying, "It's a highlight for me!"

But, the big highlight of the night was Rascal Flatts' collaboration with legend rock band Journey who surprised the audience for "Don't Stop Believing" after Rascal Flatt's "Banjo", to sing out the show.

No doubt it was an unforgettable night of fun-loving performances. Now, it's your turn, tell us what your favorite performance of the night was! Be sure to subscribe to ClevverMusic for more music news. See ya.
