http://www.my-pilates-exercises.com.html Iliotibial Band Stretch: If you have Iliotibial band syndrome, you know already that this really hurts! It's caused by a very tight iliotibial band (ITB), and is difficult to stretch effectively. There are lots of ITB stretches out there, but do they work? The ITB muscle is made up of a wide flat tendon, and runs down the side of ythe leg from the hip to below the knee. When tight, it aches, and can cause problems in both the hip, knee, lower back as well as the length of the outside upper leg. The ITB is a common injury zone for sportspeople.
