One Saturday morning while running routine errands I decided I would pay a surprise visit to the local police station to "report many crimes", just to see what would happen.
After mucking around the large court, sheriff's, and police complex I finally found the the police station on 201 W. Mission Street. It was twelve sharp on a Saturday afternoon. Regular business hours.
Their web site @ http://www.sjpd.org/ReportingCrime/ho... lists "Lobby Hours: Every day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM", with the caveat "The number to call to confirm the lobby is open is 408-277-8900 or 311".
Right after I parked my car in the lobby parking lot and stepped out, a Zersetzung cadet walked up to me and said "They're clooOOoosed." (Sorry no photo.) Upon arriving at the lobby's entrance I noticed a hastily written closed sign taped to glass door, and noticed two employees behind the lobby's desk, ignoring me.
One photo shows the building's address, the second shows the entrance door's closed sign. I found out what would happen if I paid an impromptu visit to the SJPD to "report many crimes".
