6 June, 2009 and 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley leaves Didcot in the early morning to rendezvous with a Cathedrals Express at Banbury. A quiet, if damp, passage through Foxhall Junction is disrupted by an HST heading for Reading. More than twelve hours later a small but dedicated band gather to watch it pass Bicester, this time with the train in tow. It's a slow progress, with plenty of whistle, but once clear of the station the driver opens the regulator and heads for the Chiltern Hills.
