PLEASANT RIDGE, Ohio (Josh Knight) -- The timing of the snow Tuesday morning created a tough call for many school administrators.Students at Nativity School in Pleasant Ridge were back in the classroom Tuesday morning as snow started to move through the area. Many schools closed, but as forecasted, the snow ended around lunchtime and things started to clear.Nativity School does not have bus service. Parents are responsible for getting their kids to school and because of that, they rarely cancel school.Principal Bob Herring said, Their job is to go to school and get an education, their parents go to work you know. And if PG closes or Kroger closes then maybe there's a good reason to close. By in large that's their job and that's what they're expected to do. If we can get a staff in, we'll be open.It may sound like tough love, but safety comes first. At that point it is the parents choice to decide if the roads are safe enough for their particular commute. Tuesday, 29 of the 417 students at Nativity School didn't make it and most of those students live farther away.
