In this brief message to Liberians, Inspector General of Police, Marc Amblard, stresses the support of the Liberia National Police for the activities of political parties and their supporters during campaigns leading up to the Presidential and Legislative Elections in October. He also underscores the need for the public to work alongside the police to insure that party members and their supporters refrain from violence during the election period.
Recently, the LNP and Political Parties signed a Code of Conduct which is an initiative for the LNP to work closely and in mutual understanding with Political Parties, and citizens that support them, to insure free, fair, and violence free elections.
