Responding to allegations made by Al Sharpton that conservatives are trying to hijack the message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mychal Massie of the Project 21 black leadership network responds that the left — typified by people such as Sharpton — are actively working to co-opt King's memory to advance their own political agenda.
This segment comes from an "empty chair debate" between Project 21's Massie and civil rights establishment leaders that was held at the National Press Club on 2/28/11.
