I shot this myself using almost entirely the front facing camera on the Iphone 4 in various locations around St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. I did only a few shots with the regular HD camera on the Iphone 4 and one shot was done by a tourist at the popular scenic spot under my direction using my Iphone 4. No tripod or gadgets for this DIY project. I edited the video using Adobe Premiere Elements 9, using a few effects from that software. Getting the singing on camera to sync with the audio track was probably easier than it might have been, because I wrote and recorded the song for my CD. The audio playback during filming was done by playing the song on a CD on my car stereo with the car as close to me as possible during the filming.

I haven't found any others, so this may be the first music video posted online shot with the Iphone 4 by a recording artist using the front facing camera on almost all shots by the artist singing without the artist using headphones and with using remote audio playback. Well, at least I couldn't find any others by doing a google or Youtube search and other internet searches so that's why I use the word "maybe." I found one guy filming himself singing his song while it was playing through his headphones, so that was a different type of filming. The song is Thank You God For My Mother by me (Aquannette Chinnery) from the CD Hold Your Head Up High, and its available on Itunes, Amazon.com, in stores, and several other places online. The CD is distributed by Central South Distribution. Sam Archer was the musician/producer/ singer who did the music arranging, played the music, and sang background vocals.

Well, I hope this gives some insight into the creative and technical process behind the making of this music video, but if you have any questions or comments you know what to do. Another recording artist who has done several music videos that are broadcast on television and are on the internet liked what I did and said he may be giving this a try, so maybe I will have started a trend :)
