shouldn't the initial forward speed of the watermelon be 10mph? and if i stood on top of something really tall and through the watermelon at 10mph would that speed remain constant until it hits the floor? (with no air resistance) in other words can I apply the same numbers to this situation even though the object started in a truly inanimate state? thank you btw, you're doing a better job than any "qualified teacher" i've been taught by

at 4:49 shouldn't there be that the forward speed at t=0 is 10 m/s ?

but for some reason my common sense tells me when you drop something from a moving vehicle(let it be plane, car, bicycle etc) as you drop the item it should fly to path opposite your heading direction and NOT towards your heading direction, because at that point you are going through atmosphere and wind blows towards you as you move forward, so i assume if blowing force works against the thrown object how can it fall forward then? BTW, I'm not sure about this neither trying to say that the guy is wrong, this is just what i'm thinking.

This is a great video I understand everything you said. I love physics and I'm young, this is very nice for learning the bascis

I just daydreamed that this heater at my feet blew up. Blowing my legs off and leaving my voiceless mangled torso in this chair. My family poured in as I flopped onto the floor, numbly squirming in my own blood and meat. I grabbed a gun conveniently placed atop my PlayStation and shot myself.
