Clannad After Story -Episode 21- English Dub

Context: The guy's name is Tomoya and the little girl is his daughter Ushio. Before Ushio was born, Tomoya was married to Nagisa (girl in the photo) whom he loved very much. Sadly, Nagisa died giving birth to Ushio because of a disease she had that made her very weak. *5 years go by* Tomoya finally pulls himself together after being depressed over Nagisa's death. He becomes a real dad and learns to be happy again. That is until Ushio is diagnosed with the same disease her mom had, and the doctor tells Tomoya she won't live very long. He tries not to believe it, but he knows it is inevitable. That's why he tries to fulfill her wish to go on a trip before she dies. If you didn't know all that info, it would look like he was the stupidest father ever who took his sick kid out in a snowstorm. Also, Nagisa died the night of a snowstorm, that's why he gets worried when it starts snowing. It's implied that he dies of grief or commits suicide shortly after Ushio dies. Tomoya's life really sucked.

Future me wonders why I wrote a context?
