Newbs rejoice; the Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Ninja 250R and Hyosung GT250 go head-to-head-to-head!

As far as bike tests go, we're going to go out on a limb and say this is the most important one we'll do all year -- and it's only February.

Why is that? New riders are the holy grail for motorcycle manufacturers. It's the reason they spend the money they do in advertising and promotions. The goal is to attract new riders to the brand, start them off with something small, like a 250, then keep them coming back and sticking to the brand as they progress through the ranks.

Now that is how to do a bike vs bike comparison.

Im 17 and started off with a ninja 500 with no prior experience and got rear ended and totaled a month later. Then moved up to an r1 and have no problems. It's all about self control with bikes.

Where is that place that you're ridin'? it's bloody gorgeous, I wanna visit someday =) Good video, very thorough, I think the best sounding and lookin' 250 sports bike though is the newer Hyosung GT250R, just that v twin. If I was gonna get a 250, that's the one I'd go for in the end probably. Whatever your preference I suppose.

wow 3900, pretty good. Prices have definitely came up. I'm looking to buy my first bike and I was told just get a used one but the dealers have some killer end of the year sales right now but they still aren't this low. I just need to sit back and learn more before I toss money at a bike.

Thanks for the great review... I'm looking at second hand ninja 250s and cbr250s and this is the most helpful review I've found. Very thorough and actually goes over the stuff that matters. Great stuff :)

I'd skip all of these and go with a Triumph with ABS or a Ducati Monster with ABS.

bs. beginner bike. why waste money. get the bike you want and take a class.

What an unprofessional review. Guy had hardly any technical knowledge about the bikes, didn't know his content, constantly saying 'umm' 'ahh', repeating himself, really vague, amateur filming, production crew chatting in the background, wind noise in the mic, hardly any footage of bikes being ridden, does not really provide any actual numbers regarding specifications of the bikes. I could get this review from a random guy telling me his opinion.

On the other hand, most motorcycle reviews on youtube are either just spouting off stats, or moto vlogers talking tough. Number specs are what print articles are for.
