Mitt Romney's complaint (bolstered, of course, by Fox News) that President Barack Obama has reached a new low in negative campaigning, doesn't quite fit the facts about the negativity of the Obama or Romney campaigns and ignores the history of negative campaigns, as I show in this video.

The clips I ue of Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume, and Fox News contributor Doug Schoen come from a longer segment on Fox News' August 16, 2012, broadcast of "America's Newsroom" (which I have not found available online)

The clips I use of CNN anchor John Berman come from a longer segment of CNN's August 17, 2012, broadcast of "Early Start with John Berman & Zoraida Sambolin" available online at http://bit.ly/SwEOhd

The image I use of the May 2012 Gallup poll results comparing the likability of Mitt Romney and Barack Obama comes from the webpage at http://bit.ly/PWUwRP

The image I use of Maggie Haberman and Redid J Epstein's May 29, 2012, Politico article titled "Mitt Romney won't dump Trump" comes from the webpage at http://politi.co/Rpbyt5

The image I use of Judd Legum's July 24, 2012, Talking Points Memo article titled "Romney Adviser Says Obama Doesn't 'Fully Appreciate' Our 'Anglo-Saxon Heritage'" comes from the webpage at http://bit.ly/PN1g2X

The image I use of Mitt Romney's August 13, 2012, YouTube video titled "Long History" comes from the YouTube player page at http://bit.ly/OGob0u

have you even seen some of Obama's ads one of them states that because Romney's company shut down a steel mill a man named Joe Soptic lost job and his healthcare and because of it his wife died of cancer. What they failed to mention was that Joe's wife died 5 years after he lost his job and had her own healthcare for most of that time. Here's the link so you can see for yourself. If thats not dishonest and low i dont know what is.  http://www.cbsnews.com/news/negative-presidential-campaign-ads-going-to-new-extremes/

your an idiot
I'm so glad I found this video! I'm finishing my junior year as a history major at the moment, and during the campaign I couldn't believe what I heard! I'm surprised you left out hannity, because he wasn't just calling it the most "negative" ever. He straight up called it the "dirtiest" ever. I loved the CNN report bringing up past history, because today's campaigns are much more civil than early US history. This really solidified my hatred for Faux.

i'll bet roger ailes spends a fortune on peroxide for those "fair and balanced" anchorwomen
You forgot about Helms vs Gantt '90 and '96. I guess Jesse was the common denominator.
