Students from Los Pollos Locos, USC College of Engineering and Computing and Richland One's FIRST Robotics Competition team, compete in the 2012 FIRST Robotics Competition Palmetto Regional Finals.

Los Pollos Locos is the black robot with blue bumpers, playing as the backup team for team 281 (EnTech GreenVillains from Greenville, SC) whose ball shooter axle broke in the quarterfinals. The team plays on an alliance with team 2642 (HOTBOTZ from Winterville, NC) and 2059 (The Hitchhikers from Apex, NC) against the red alliance of teams 4073 (Robo Kats from Myrtle Beach, SC), 343 (Metal In Motion from Seneca, SC), and 2642 (Pitt Pirates from Winterville, NC).

Los Pollos Locos is playing for the chance to be the first-ever FRC team in the history of the Palmetto Regional to win the event in back-to-back years, while 343 is playing for redemption; the two teams played against each other in the 2011 Palmetto Regional finals.
