Shear waves in concentrated wormlike micellar fluid shot through cross polarizing filters at 500 frames per second. The pulse is traveling at about 0.2 m/s with a frequency of about 60 Hz. These experiments are from the labs of J.R. Gladden and J. Mobley, Dept. of Physics and Astronomy & National Center for Physical Acoustics, Univ. of Mississippi.
