Can you freeze dry raw steaks, then re-hydrate and gill like normal? YES! Thanks to the folks from 4-Star Meat Co in Eugene, Oregon for custom cutting the steaks used in this video! Very nice people there, and it's a family owned and operated business!
As noted, we put together a solution with various spices and condiments to re-hydrate the steaks rather than just plain water. It worked! But we would recommend having the meat in the solution longer than we did, and keeping a close eye on the steaks as they cook since they are so thin.
