21 April 2008. Gordon Brown met with Nobel Peace Prize Winner and founder of Grameen Bank, Muhammad Yunus, to discuss the potential for microfinance and social business schemes in Africa.

Microfinance is the innovative banking program that provides poor people--mainly women--with small loans they use to launch businesses and lift their families out of poverty.
