Sergeant Robert Carpenter was shot in the head while working a burglary call. Many thought he wouldn't survive and no one thought he would be back to work, with the bullet is still lodged in his brain. Through months of hard work and physical therapy, he is back to full duty as a sergeant with the Tucson police department.
The #justbeyouproject wants to honor the sacrifices of our Law Enforcement and thank you for your service! Sergeant Carpenter is one of scores of officers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty. Please share and thank the members of law enforcement and their families you know.
This story is the fifth episode of the Just Be You Project, a mini-documentary and portrait series featuring stories of self-discovery that highlight inspirational people who have discovered who they are and inspire us to take our own unique path in life.
