Joel Ross's summer tennis camp is located in Kent, Connecticut. We operate a summer tennis camp as well as a fall and winter tennis program. We are an overnight tennis camp and junior sports camp in the foothills of the Berkshires with a focus on "consistent/winning tennis" for the child who loves tennis, golf and other sports camp activities.

Our tennis participants play on 17 tennis courts at our New England Summer Camp Location. Junior tennis Campers, ages 8-17 are re-grouped 2-3 times per week based on ladder play results. Junior tennis campers and regular participants get 3 ½-6 hours of daily tennis and sports programs, playing as many as 3 tennis matches daily.

Our 7 week summer tennis camp is taught by our renowned tennis counselors under the direction of Joel Ross, fine tuning each junior tennis campers' skills in the following areas: topspin on both sides, underspin volleys, slice backhands, kick serves, drop shots, overheads, approach shots, V Attack, mental toughness, how to handle bad calls, & even how to slide on clay.

We are the only American Camp Association (ACA) accredited tennis camp at a prep school in the nation. Camp Activities include squash, archery, canoeing, kayaking, golf, soccer, basketball, crafts, hiking and even chess. If you like golf you can also add a week to your sports camp experience at our golf camp!

We work hard at Joel Ross Tennis Camp to be the best overnight tennis academy that we can be! Take a tour of our website and check out our tennis and sport programs. Get to know your tennis camp director by visiting Joels Tennis Camp Blog and watch our tennis academy video! Kosher meals are available. We also have adult tennis programs offered at our fall and winter tennis academy. See for yourself why our Connecticut summer tennis camp is a keeper!

Tennis & Athletic Facilities

Campers play and practice on a variety of surfaces. Our 17 tennis courts include red clay, har tru, outdoor hard, and indoor hard courts, assuring play rain or shine. We swim and play basketball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, etc. in the new pool/ gymnasium complex and play outdoor sports on the dozens of acres of immaculate playing fields and beautiful countryside.
In order for a summer tennis camp to be effective it has to be tailored to meet the individual camper's needs. The 3 1/2- 6 hours of exciting daily instruction and match play does just that, raising camper's games to new levels and giving them a great love of the game!
Each camper is evaluated and placed in an appropriate group. Joel Ross Tennis & Sports Camp maintains a 1:4 counselor:camper ratio, assuring personal attention and quality instruction.
