In this 5-minute talk, Dr. Odom explores the use of low-cost sensors to provide rapid, accurate diagnosis from a single exhaled breath, a critical development in the war against drug-resistant infections.
Audrey R. Odom, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and of Molecular Microbiology at Washington University School of Medicine. She received her M.D. and Ph.D. from Duke University, during which she was recognized by a national Harold Weintraub award for excellence in graduate studies in the biological sciences. Dr. Odom completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington in Seattle. She joined the faculty at Washington University School of Medicine in 2008. She is a recipient of the Doris Duke Clinical Scientist Development Award and the March of Dimes Basil O'Connor Award.
