For this corn harvest on the farm in western Illinois, the farmer is using two 12-row combines. CAPS Farm Manager Scott Johnson explains that each machine can harvest 10 to 15 acres per hour. After hot dry conditions in July and August, he states that the yield monitor was showing approximately 200 bushels per acre for this field being harvested in late October.
