It seems like a while since I last uploaded anything. Anyways, welcome to another new track for Mario Kart Wii, clearly based heavily on Mushroom Gorge: Mushroom Peaks.
This track is the longest, hardest and by far the prettiest looking track that me and Chadderz have made so far. It features annoying respawns, lots and lots of areas to die/sheer drops, and more bouncy mushrooms than you can shake a stick at. Very often, the track can't be completed in 5 minutes due to its length, ESPECIALLY if it's 100cc (see video :P)
This course was designed by me (Mr Bean) however, huge credit goes to Chadderz for coding the SZS Modifier, making all of this possible and listening to my many nagging requests (believe me if he hadn't, this course wouldn't have turned out nearly as nicely as it did).
All of this was constructed with the SZS Modifier, it's not the Course Creator's work. That said, don't think Chadderz isn't working on the Course Creator, because he is. When Course Creator's released, the SZS Modifier is going to start moving away from Mario Kart Wii and more into general Wii game hacking, with increased support for .brres files and other common Nintendo formats.
The video's a demonstration of online play of the track (surprise surprise?) and this time there are 6 players. We're playing in 100cc which is annoying, but the races were pretty fun nevertheless.
Players in the race:
MrBean35000vr KO Ashey KO PK KO Phoenix EC2 Buizel EC2 SUPERstar
The patch for this course is available on the patch server. It's currently RC3.
Current known bugs:
"Invisible" wall - If you drive left at the bottom of the hill after the first three mushrooms, you will hit and be forced through an invisible wall. It's not really invisible, just not visible from that side. That glitch occurs because the model formed badly at that point and there's currently no way for me to fix that.
Position tracker fail - All custom tracks are famous for this, the position tracker will sometimes go wrong. Fortunately in this track, it generally corrects itself after a while if it does.
"Transparent" mushrooms - Some of the bouncy mushrooms allow you to fall through them if you hit them at an odd angle, or even generally under some circumstances. No current way known to fix.
Enjoy the video ;)
