Connexions Norfolk takes the views of young people seriously and we regularly consult with 13 - 19 year olds, (up to 25 with LDD) on our ideas and plans on how to develop our services and products. During the October half term 21 young people took part in a 3 day residential which offered them the chance to meet new people, challenge themselves on the activities available at the centre but also have their voices heard. We took the opportunity to talk about the issues young people face, reviewed websites, explored their preferences in terms of design, and the best ways of communicating with one another and others. It was an ideal time to talk to them about the new IAG strategy, Quality, Choice and Aspiration - A strategy for young people's information, advice and guidance, and in particular the proposals to improve online access to careers advice through Facebook, You Tube, blogs and forums.
