I have never met a gelding so easy to work with, nor one that I actually like till him! He soaks everything up like a sponge!
16.2hh 4yr old Skewbald Irish Sports Horse Gelding. The gelding is a very friendly and laid back skewbald called Rafiki (but he has no registered name at the moment), he turned 4years old in May. By Rivertown Gypsy out of Pride of Silgo. We brought him as an unhandled youngster from Ireland. He has an established walk and trot with his canter well on the way. He has jumped upto 2ft3 coloured poles undersaddle. He has had novice and advanced riders on him without a problem and has started looking for contact to work in an outline. Hacks out on his own or in company has been ok with country traffic. He works in an indoor or an outdoor arena and is fine with mirrors. He lives in a stable or out in a field, on his own or in company (mares/geldings). Loves to be cuddled and handled. He has had young children around him and is also handled by my partially disabled mother. He loads himself in a trailer very happily. He was very good for the vet when he had his first tetanus, and is soon to have his second. He was also very good for the farrier to have his hooves trimmed.
He is not a kick kick, but also not a speed freak. He has breaks and will only put as much effort in as his rider. He will be missed on the yard as he is so loving and easy to handle. The first person to try him will buy him.
