(C) 2011 Ohioans For Concealed Carry - On June 8, 2011 the following unfortunate arrest took place in Canton, OH. Notifying the policy when you have a firearm is required by Ohio Law, but when this individual with a thirty-day old license tries to do that he is repeatedly ordered to look away, shut up, or interrupted and "forced" to change what he is speaking about by the actions of an aggressive cop who maintains verbal control of the situation.

A two man car dealing with three people put itself at risk when one officer started what appears to be an illegal search of the rear of the car without extracting or securing the driver - which would have given him an opportunity to notify.

What follows is horrific example of a police officer losing all self-control, threatening to beat the female, threatening to beat the driver and eventually saying he should have executed him "and wouldn't have lost any sleep over it" that night.

psycho cop + low IQ = bad situations
Wow. I'm usually one to side with the cops, but this dude is a hard core asshole. Perhaps he's going through steroid withdraw. ;-)
Did I miss the part where he consented to a search or did they just start going through his car?

Anybody who thinks that is correct police behavior is part of the problem!
I am a former police officer. This officer was so unprofessional, hope he lost his badge and certification. That was TOTALLY uncalled for. His behavior is dispicable. I wonder how he passed his psych eval?! People with CHL's are usually the least of our worries. Although he should've said he immediately had a gun, this officer should've went about it differently. Look, being a cop changes you. It turns you into a cynic, but still, you don't go threatining to cave in someone's head because they have a legal concealed handgun! These type of cops make us all look like power tripping assholes. Wow! Most of us are not like this.

The cop keeps repeating that the driver is an idiot. However it's he who is the idiot for not approaching the driver first and courteously stating the nature of the stop and asking the driver pertinent questions AND allowing him to speak. He would have found out right away about the CCP. Instead he starts pushing the other people around barking orders and illegally entering the car without permission to search. He never allowed the driver to speak until much later and, in fact, was immediately hostile without ANY provocation. Total asshole. He put himself and his partner at risk. Total asshole!

"You just lost this" (talking about the man's CCW permit) The guy should've pointed at his badge and said "You just lost that" because that's what the end result of this traffic stop was.
