This is a new song I wrote called Portrait. Been in the works for sometime now. Here's a solo acoustic version

Lyrics:
Assets more than ample but you've always wanted more,
Sketched your life in pencil but you stuffed it in a drawer,
The abstract you present only justifies your lies,
The spirit you're replacing only thinning your disguise,

Now the Portrait's getting prettier with every bond you break,
You shun the love and spit the teeth you worked so hard to take,

You hung your past in frames of sin, in halls that no-one saw,
Protecting your investments while they gathered up your flaws,
To see yourself the way they do before it gets too late,
To fill the cracks in your facade before they propagate,

Now the Portrait's getting prettier with every bond you break,
You shun the love and spit the teeth you worked so hard to take,
You stole the paradigm of their design and flaunt it as your own,
When you've got so many faces why'd you always feel alone?,

When your life's a paint by numbers you live in shades of grey,
When your face hung in the attic takes all that she can take,
It starts becoming harder disguising your true shape,
Your insides on the outside but your portrait's looking great

Now the Portrait's getting prettier with every bond you break,
You shun the love and spit the teeth you worked so hard to take,
You stole the paradigm of their design and flaunt it as your own,
When you've got so many faces why'd you always feel alone?,

Assets more than ample but you've always wanted more,
