the "Bangalore Torpedo" a cool looking chilli from India, had for a few years but it's never really grown properly, this year it's going off and It's a Ripper of a producer.. as with most of our Plants it's in a Pot, gets to a metre or so high and as wide, bushy with large amounts of 10 - 12 cm long pods that go from a light Green to a bright red, get a few that twist like Pig's tails but most are just bentish

Today Charlotte and Simone join in and we have a crack at The Bangalore Torpedo

What's it Like ?
How Hot Is It ?

Thinish and seedy but not really notice the seeds, crisp fresh light capsicum flavour and that's about it there but not bitter or bad, would be perfect to add to salads or just add to meals for a bit of flavour

Heat wise, took a while to get going but a light clean burn that hit the top back of the mouth and then slowly built all over to about a mid heat burn, not stingy and we all really loved it as was pleasant or nice and at a level that most people could have and would make an excellent starting point if want to get into chillis but not burn to the max straight up, was still going nearly at the same level after the break so goes for ages

Wasn't as Hot as thought would be but a fantastic mid heat burn that stays for ages, massive amount of Pods that would dry fairly easy so could keep for ages and use when like a nice burn and not over the Top.. wouldn't grow if was stuck for space as Likes to get bushy and fill with pods but a smallish pod could limit size and should still produce well..

Can get the seeds from www.thehippyseedcompany.com and if not on the site, Just email and ask..

Hope You Enjoy

Be Excellent
