Short Clip of Sawppy's first ride in a natural environment. Just testing behaviour on different surfaces like grass, sand and of course functionality of the suspension (which worked very well!).
shot overview of the project itself: Sawppy is a 3d printed short scale version of NASA's Mars Rover Curiosity created by Roger Cheng. Its based on a Raspberry Pi 3, steering is happening via smartphone. Currently working on some updates like a gripper and more autonomous driving via GPS. In this video, there is a GoPro mounted, have it already replaced with a Raspi-Cam to detect objects via TensorFlow
