Saturday, March 19, railfanning with Alvin (alvintrain)- in a rare-mileage trip, the Reading and Northern saturday turn headed north from Reading to work the former PRR schuylkill division branch line, which sees service only once every two weeks and until a few months ago had been plugged with stored hopper cars. We'll see SD38 #2000 and SD40-2 #3057 (ex-up paint) work the agway in Leesport, then head back down the line towards NS at Laurel Jct. Upon reaching Temple, NS trains can be seen roaring alongside the job, creating a rare rolling meet at the Temple crossing, plus two more at CP-Belt where the engines re-enter their home rails.
