The Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria in New York has engaged their students who have a passion for dance with their students who have a passion for computer coding. Andrea Chaves, the school's creative director, found that many of the students were not passionate about coding, which could help them get into college or a career, and they were passionate about dancing. Chaves decided to combine the two disciplines into a video game-inspired performance that involves robots, hover boards, light shows and, of course, dancing.
