The Hamilton Arts Council’s Visual Arts Committee welcomed local painter Jody Joseph to Mills Hardware in downtown Hamilton as our eighth Echo Artist Talks speaker. Joseph presented Montecastello a memoria at Gallery on the Bay from November 18 to December 18, 2016.

Jody Joseph is a Dundas-based painter and collage artist, and a long-time instructor at the Dundas Valley School of Art. She also spends several months a year painting and teaching in central Italy. Joseph’s two “hometowns,” in Italy and in Ontario, are often the focus of her work. Joseph received her early art training in her native Chicago, and later at the International School of Art in Umbria, Italy where she studied with Nicolas Carone and Wayne Thiebaud, among others. She is represented locally by Gallery on the Bay in Hamilton.
