"We're not going to the moon again, we're going to the Earth," says John Picard.
"When I say I'm going to take us to the Earth, I'm going to shift us off the way we engineer things to engineering things for life cycle," he explains. "We're going to do things that do no harm. We're going to engineer things working with nature.
"We need to base our next state of engineering around protecting all the life giving forces that we have on the planet."
Says Picard: "Going to the Earth is like very quickly getting us all on the same page. We need to balance the technosphere with the biosphere as quickly as possible."
This is the sixth and last in a series Into the future videos featuring Picard.
