A treat for all you Dick Van Dyke fans! I watched this film about 300 times in one year when I was 5!

Funny that the songs we considered boring as a child became some of the most meaningful as an adult.

This is a movie that can be passed down generations. My  mom first saw it with my brother, he then showed me, and I plan to show It to my future kids. This movie will never die.

A gentle breeze from Hushabye Mountain Softly blows o'er Lullaby Bay It Fills the sails of boats that are waiting Waiting to sail your worries away It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain And your boat waits down by the quay The winds of night so softly are sighing Soon they will fly your troubles to the sea So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain Wave good...bye to cares of the day And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain Sail far away from Lullaby Bay.

You cannot truly 'GET' this song unless you are also watching Dick van Dyke tuckingi in his children as well. It's not how well he hits each note but the total ambiance of what's going on. (remember "Mrs Potts" in Beauty and the Beast" singing the title song. Her voice is not as "accurate" as Celine Dion's but who can watch Belle & the Beast dance to that song as she sings for them & not be touched.) So for all us kids who never had a Dad tuck us in and sing the "worries of the day away", this entire scene replays as a deep longing. And to those of us who had that kind of Dad, thanks for stirring the memories. L-L

Criminal Minds brought me here. I was very surprised to hear this song from my childhood show up there; I haven't heard it in forever!

I don't know why this gets me so emotional. Perhaps it because it reminds me of how great my childhood was. Now, I wish my mind wasn't clouded with anxiety and I was confident enough to do the things I have always wanted to do.
