This is a short video showing the highlights of GMA's Youscoop #IMSocialxUP held last January 28, 2015 at the Malcolm Theater, Malcolm Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The event showcased the use of social media by UP alumna and Save Philippine Seas Co-Founder Anna Oposa for her advocacy; illustrated how a photo shared by UP alumnus and Youscooper Sedricke Lapuz can mobilize people to help a child wanting to read; and discussed how social media may affect the 2016 election from the perspective of Commission on Elections Information and Education Department Director James Jimenez. UP Vice President for Public Affairs and UP sa Halalan issue expert Professor Prospero de Vera read President Alfredo E. Pascual's message for the event.
The University of the Philippines partnered with GMA News through the UP Sa Halalan 2016 project for the hosting of the event at the UP Diliman campus.
