Hello, and welcome to the Rising Sun Daily. I'm Dustin Perry. Here's a look at what's happening around USARJ Today. - Personnel assigned to DENTAC and the 78th Aviation Detachment, as well as their family members with ID cards are designated for registration in DBIDS from today through March 28th. Registration is done at the Pass and Vehicle Registration Offices near Camp Zama's Gate 1. - USARJ will hold its next Officer Development Program training on March 29th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the USARJ Command Conference Room in Bldg. 101. The subject of the training is Un-funded Requirements, and will be hosted by the USARJ G-8. Attendance is mandatory for all USARJ officers. - The Mission Command Training Center at Sagami Depot has VBS-2 available for squad- to platoon-level training. VBS-2 is a games-for-training platform that provides realistic environments for small unit training. To schedule training or for more information, call 268-4747 or 268-4700. - Road work will occur in the Bldg. 1000 housing area on Camp Zama beginning today and will continue intermittently in this area throughout the construction. A partial bypass will be constructed but will not be paved. There will be no road closures during this time and flagmen will be provided when needed. A Spiritual Orientation Tour, sponsored by the U.S. Army Garrison Japan Chaplain's Office, will be held March 30th from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour includes a visit to two Buddhist sites, the Daibutsu, or "Great Buddha" statue, and Hase Kannon Temple. Also included is a stop at the Hachiman-gu Shrine, the main Shinto shrine of Kamakura. There will be plenty of time for lunch and shopping, and also remember to bring yen for lunch, admission fee and souvenirs. Sign-up at the USAG-J Chaplain's Office, or call 263-4898 for details. - That's all for today's edition. Tune in tomorrow at 5, 7 and 9 o'clock in the morning and evening for the next USARJ daily report. For the Rising Sun Daily, I'm Dustin Perry. Thank you for watching.
